UNANIMOUS DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE
On March 2nd, 1836, fifty-nine Texan delegates met in Washington-on-the-Brazos to discuss Texas’ future. Within a day, they unanimously agreed to and signed the Texas Declaration of Independence, before appointing a new provisional government under David G. Burnette.
Even while Santa Anna’s army laid siege to the Alamo and threatened to destroy the new nation, our forefathers stood firm. In fact, they doubled down and founded a new country.
This story should sound familiar to all Americans, for its parallels with the American revolution are hard to miss. In fact, this is a story all too common for members of the European Race. Time and again, our people have stubbornly defied the odds and stood against tyranny and subjugation. Where others would give up, compromise, or find an easy way out, our forefathers would dig in and fight back.

Remember the Alamo
On the morning of March 6th,1836, the Alamo fell to the Mexican Army. After thirteen days of bombardment, Santa Anna ordered his army of nearly 4000 soldiers to assault the fort.
Though only numbering around 185 men, the Texans fought valiantly, claiming the lives of over 600 Mexican soldiers. Nevertheless, the fort fell, and all defenders either died in battle or were executed shortly thereafter. Only a handful of noncombatants survived to tell the tale.
