The General Mazloum Abdi, during his visit to the injured victims of the Kobani prison fire:
“We will hold accountable everyone involved in this crime, and no one proven responsible will escape punishment. The blood of the martyrs will not be shed in vain, and the full truth will emerge before our Kurdish people.”

According to one of the injured, members of the Syrian General Security (HTS) threatened the prisoners with being transferred to Aleppo and tried to provoke them, while the Kurdish security forces (Asayish) assured them that they would not be handed over.

Muhammad Ali Abboud Al-Harith, who presents himself as an intellectual and a doctor at Cordoba University – Faculty of Administrative Sciences, incites the killing of Kurds and shows his support for the crime of kidnapping and killing the heroic martyr Siban by slitting his throat at the hands of a group of criminals and terrorists from the Arab al-Baggara clan on September 10.
Al-Harith is currently in the city of Aleppo.
Note: Dr. Lara Qdeid, a member of the Syrian People’s Assembly, is the director of Cordoba University at its Qamishlo and Aleppo branches.
Muhammad Ali Abboud Al-Harith also had relations with the National Defence Forces during the period of Bashar al-Assad’s rule.
If their intellectuals are at this level of moral degradation and downfall, then what must their ignorant be like?

Statement by Arab tribes in the Şêxler area of the Kobani countryside, which are reportedly operating under orders from the Turkish intelligence agency MIT and receiving support from it, expressing their support for the terrorist Majd al-Din al-Sheikh and declaring their backing for him.
The area has witnessed tensions over the past two days following the killing of the Kurdish fighter Siban by the al-Baggara tribes. The Kurdish population in Kobani held protests in response to this crime. Tensions then began between General Security (HTS) forces led by Majd al-Din al-Sheikh and Kurdish civilians after HTS personnel entered the area and provoked and insulted them, while chanting phrases resembling rhetoric used by ISIS, including “Allahu Akbar.”
This coincided with the Kobani prison incident, where a number of Kurdish detainees set themselves on fire in protest against the decision to transfer them to Aleppo prison.

🚨 #CLARIFICATION | #ATTENTION
Misinformation:
The videos circulating regarding Kobani Prison, along with reports claiming that the Kurdish security forces (Asayish) refrained from opening the prison doors for the detainees, are misleading reports and are unrelated to the recent incident.
The truth:
One of the circulating videos dates back to March 21, 2026, documenting a prison riot carried out by Turkish-backed mercenaries inside the prison at that time, before the Kurdish security forces (Asayish) managed to bring the situation under control.
Using this video as documentation of the recent events at Kobani Prison is an attempt by the Syrian intelligence services, the Turkish intelligence agency (MIT), and individuals linked to them to fabricate the facts and cover up the crime committed by General Security (HTS) personnel.

Statement to the Public
The claims circulating on social media, which place the legal and physical responsibility for the killing of three civilians on our forces, are completely baseless and false. As the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ), we have no connection whatsoever to this incident. For some time, there have been targeted and systematic attacks against the YPJ line by a patriarchal mentality. Targeting civilians is a crime under international law and our fundamental principles, and cannot be accepted.
In order to identify those responsible, uncover the truth, and ensure justice, our official investigation is continuing comprehensively. Once the investigation is completed, its findings will be clearly shared with the public.
