Kurdish leader Farhad Shami posted on his X account: βThe Kurds do not need a birth certificate from those who are ignorant of history or who read it selectively. Their presence in this region is a firmly established historical fact, and their role in its present and future cannot be measured by assumptions or fabricated narratives.β The statements made by the presidential envoy, Ahmed Hilali, reflect a narrow and exclusionary vision that demonstrates neither historical awareness nor a sense of patriotism, and does not contribute to building a comprehensive national discourse.

What is needed today is not to reinvent or falsify history, but rather to work on building a cohesive Syrian entity that includes all its people on the basis of genuine belonging to the region and shared citizenship, just as the Kurds were in the process of building modern Syria from its beginnings, up to their active participation in fighting all forces of evil, such as ISIS and its affiliates.

As for the discourse based on questioning the authentic components of the region's fabric, it is a racist discourse that does not serve any real national project, and only leads to weakening the national fabric instead of protecting it.

The International Commission of Inquiry on Syria confirms that more than 1,400 Alawite civilians and 1,500 Druze and Bedouin civilians were killed by government forces and various armed groups affiliated with and supportive of the Damascus government in Latakia, Tartus, Homs, and Hama, amid a pattern of religious, ethnic, age, and gender-based targeting that may amount to war crimes and crimes against humanity.

Rainstorm claims the lives of four children in rural Raqqa
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that four children from the same family lost their lives when the roof of their house collapsed on them in the village of al-Buhamad, east of Raqqa, as a result of a rainstorm that struck the area early Saturday morning and continued until late that day.
The Observatory explained that the heavy rains caused the roof of the house to collapse on the children while they were inside, leading to their deaths under the rubble. There is no confirmed information about any other victims.

π΄ Displaced Persons Committee of #SereKaniye:
π We appeal to the Autonomous Administration, the Syrian government, and international and local organizations to provide immediate assistance to the residents of the Washokani and SereKaniye camps.
π We are issuing an urgent appeal for help due to the heavy rains currently sweeping the region, which have caused significant damage to the Washokani and SereKaniye camps, home to thousands of displaced people.
π Continued rainfall threatens a genuine humanitarian catastrophe within the two camps.
π The rainfall has led to the flooding of tents, water seepage into them, and damage to belongings and food supplies.

Questions the Damascus regime hasn't answered:
π Storms expected in the next two days could flood dozens of camps in Idlib and rural Aleppo. Thousands of families live in fragile tents that offer no protection from rain and cold.
π This is not just a natural disaster; it is the result of years of neglect and a lack of real solutions to the suffering of thousands of displaced people.
π Where did the billions of dollars announced through memoranda of understanding and economic agreements go...?
π Where is the money from the fundraising campaigns supposedly collected to support the affected...?
π A simple question: Do the regime's leaders and their families live in these camps that are flooded every year...?
π While the camps are flooded every winter, the elite connected to the Damascus regime live far removed from this suffering.
