We never anticipated that this will translate into legacy media inviting people to speak on behalf of the Kurdish people whom are known amongst Kurds to be complete laughing stock. Commander-in-Chief Meets with Committee Representing Families of Prisoners and Missing Persons

The Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), Mazloum Abdi, met with a committee representing the families of prisoners and missing persons. He emphasized that the issue of prisoners and missing persons from the recent battles is a central component of the integration process under the January 29 Agreement, given its direct and positive impact on implementation.

The Commander-in-Chief explained that he had been officially informed of the existence of 1,070 prisoners in Syrian prisons, including both civilians and military personnel. He stressed that this issue is a top priority and cannot be compromised under any circumstances.

He added that intensive efforts are ongoing to address the issue according to a specific timeline, noting that the prisoners will be returned to their families in the coming period. He also indicated that a number of prisoners from both sides have been released in recent days as part of the practical steps being taken to resolve the issue.

The Commander-in-Chief emphasized that the issue of prisoners of war is a fundamental commitment within the agreement, noting that the Syrian President affirmed this commitment and the importance of its implementation upon signing the agreement. He also pointed out the continuation of the plan to release detainees held in prisons in northern and eastern Syria as part of the prison rehabilitation and reform program.

The Commander-in-Chief further emphasized the heroic role of the captured fighters, stressing that their sacrifices and perseverance in battles were crucial in protecting civilians. He underscored the importance of their return to their families to resume their lives and contribute to building a secure future.

A number of drones has been intercepted in the sky over Hawler (Erbil) in the Autonomous region of Kurdistan.

This pattern has been noticeable throughout the last 3 days - starting with either Hawler/KRG or Baghdad/Iraq - a series of strikes is being conducted within a timespan of 1-2 hours; striking both the KRG and Iraq in a coordinated manner - starting with either one.

Since the events of 2017, we have studied the network of the PMF extensively and know how they operate.
The PMF conducts meetings in their operation rooms to determine the targets for the day - then the commanders act autonomously, choosing predesignated units to deploy the equipment into predesignated fields/areas - from there on, the units launch the strikes autonomously.

The emphasis here is autonomous - or rather decentralised. PMF units receive orders from a central command but the actual unit that conducts the operation is *not* part of the chain of command nor really attached to it.
This is what makes the PMF both effective and dangerous.
