So a while ago I created an ingress acc with Facebook, I recently downloaded the game again although Facebook isn't a sign in option, I can't sign in with google as it says I already have a Facebook acc

I haven't played this game in over 7 years. I just rediscovered it. What new things should I know?
Hi!
I got on this game since basically when it launched and I forgot about it after a couple years and when life took me away. I've since moved to a new town and when I opened the app, there's a lot of portals I want to take. But clearly there's lots of new stuff I need to know like the Dronenet, overclocking, etc. Has the game changed much since 2019ish? What should I know? Some of these portals are red which I would guess is some kind of NPC portal.
But yeah, I'm excited to play again.

I finally made it to level 8!
TLDR: I used to play in 2015, I am playing again, I like the game. And I would like to see a kind of beacon that allows to call for help from the players in our area. And also make it possible to use special containers that lasts so we can make dead drops like real spies
I played ingress a little bit back in 2015 in Brussels. But my phone was crappy, without free data and the battery was dying within a couple hours.
In 2026, as I was bored and looked for something to do, I reinstalled the game and took up my old lvl 5 account. And I saw that my area was completely empty, overtaken by machina and with few high level green and blue portals.
I explored the area where I just moved and had some fun going around and seeing my neighborhood, painting as much blue as I could.
I know some people hate the Machina, but I really like that addition. In a small town like this one (Charleroi, Belgium), there isn't much activity and I really like fighting against a perfidious deranged evil machine spirit. It's mostly about role-playing anyway. But it's a cool way to get some gear and AP.
Indeed, Ingress isn't as active as it has been but still, I managed to connect with nice people from my area. I went to destroy two huge fields in my neighborhood and it was some fun going alone at night like a spy doing some shady stuff. I like that feeling as it gives me purpose while I am between two jobs and struggling a bit with unemployment.
The thing is, it's geeky, shady, with interesting role-play and pushes me out of the house to walk, bike and take the bus to new places. I kinda know a lot about the city center as I am a tour guide as well, but it's cool looking up nearby unknown spots and reach them.
I understand the community isn't as active as it used to be, but still, I believe there is something to be done. Just farming portals has a limited gaming life, yet, there should be something more rewarding possible. I mean, the game itself is exciting, but maybe we should be able to request help through the game, a bit like beacons, but something that would be helpful to drop somewhere, with a long cool down and range to prevent spam and abuse.
But think about it, by setting a specific beacon that calls for help, this would allow us to find about other players in our area without having to rely on third party apps. Which has the benefit of allowing lone wolves to join the pack as well and keep in the shadows if they want. Which is also extremely exciting!
Another feature would be to make durable containers that would allow us to make dead drops like real spies. Something like a unique container per individual, which works only for the same faction, and once found or recalled, it comes back to the owner with a notification. And if found by a third party, it empties itself into their inventory before coming back to the owner.
That would bring a very cool aspect to the game without being overly demanding. That 12h time-frame to drop stuff is understandable regarding the game memory allocation, but it's really problematic game wise.

Is there a real way to communicate with support? Are reports taken seriously? Why does niantic allow this stuff:
Long story short, troll player that has multi accounts on both factions to sabotage the team then do shitty fields and block important zones... Been reported several times with screenshots, personal messages admitting multi accounts and Niantic's respones is always the same automated cr*p
Additionally, game bugs when trying to defend, making it near to impossible
Anyways so far, multiaccounts still active and 3 million MU lost

Title says it all pretty much. I'm in southern New Hampshire, but I do enjoy cruising around, looking for enlightened people to field with. Not in person, tho I'm not against it moreso just having communication on fielding plans and such. Looked briefly, didn't see any groups.

Sugerencias varias para mejorar Ingress
Buenas, soy un jugador veterano de ingress y me gustaría enviar unas cuantas sugerencias que he ido recopilando durante años y que creo podrían mejorar el juego:
----Jugabilidad:----
Aumentar el inventario ó introducir capsulas como las de llaves pero para ítems específicos, busters, resonators, potenciadores… (El sistema CARGO personalmente no me gusta).
Poder eliminar o compartir potenciadores (apex, balizas, etc)
Volver a poner las quantum cápsulas, eran muy útiles.
Añadir nuevos niveles de jugador (hasta el 24?), esto podría entrar en conflicto con el sistema de recursión pero se podría intentar enlazarlos de alguna manera, por ejemplo que para el nivel 17 haber completado al menos una recursión al 16. O que se tenga en cuenta el ap vital y varios objetivos para ir subiendo niveles.
Modo "party" crear un grupo con unos o más jugadores y repartir el AP, mus, etc que hagan entre todos, por ejemplo si van juntos haciendo links, campos, destruyendo, etc. Estableciendo unas normas de distancia etc..
Marcar "zonas de juego" como por ejemplo parques con muchos portales y que al entrar en esa zona den por ejemplo x1,5 de AP por jugar ahí, esto incentivaría en jugar en zonas seguras y tranquilas.
Poder crear "clanes" dentro del juego y que haya una especie de "banco" donde los miembros del clan puedan compartir objetos entre sí.
----Introducción de nuevas medallas estándar:----
-Niveles en la medalla de recursión
-Medalla por fotos añadidas a los portales(motivaría a los jugadores a actualizar fotos de portales antiguos y tener así la red de portales actualizada)
-Destrucción de links enemigos
-Destrucción de control fields enemigos
-Liberador de portales
-Liberador de mus
-Destrucción de mods
-Medallas relacionadas con el Dron (hacks únicos, distancia recorrida, hackeos totales….)
-Medallas por bounties
-Medalla por ganar en las celdas
-Etc etc etc.
El poner nuevas medallas puede incentivar a algunos jugadores a volver al tener nuevos objetivos.
----Opciones de personalización o mejora en perfil del jugador:----
Que aparezca la fecha en la que se empezó a jugar a ingress.
Poder ordenar o eliminar las medallas de misiones, eso ayudaría a ordenar banners mal hechos o incompletos.
Poder ordenar las medallas del perfil, eso daría un toque de personalización por ejemplo si se quieren poner las medallas de personajes juntas, etc.
Que cuando se complete una recursión el AP que aparezca debajo del Nick sea el AP vital y no el AP de recursión, o que al menos sea seleccionable el que se quiera poner.
Más avatares e iconos con más colores y formas.
Bajar el precio de las medallas y eventos, 30 mil cmus es muy caro y no todo el mundo puede permitirse comprar tantas medallas a esos precios (igual es preferible vender muchas medallas a 5 mil cmus que pocas a 30 mil, personalmente me es inviable comprar medallas actualmente)
----Misiones y creador de misiones:----
Tener la opción de enviar banners completos para su revisión en lugar de misiones sueltas solamente, hay multitud de banners incompletos a falta de 1 o 2 misiones y al estar activos algunos jugadores los empiezan sin saber q están incompletos y luego se desordena en el perfil.
Sería ideal que los tiempos de espera no fueran tan largos, quizás dar la opción a q sean los propios jugadores los que revisen, algo así como un OPR de misiones, y dar una medalla similar a la de Recon.
Incentivar la creación y realización de éstas misiones dando recompensas al hacerlas.
Que las misiones diarias (bounties) den cmus como recompensa en lugar de 2000 o 5000 AP
Que haya una forma alternativa de conseguir CMUS dentro del juego sin tener que pagar.
----OPR:----
La opción de “actualizar portal”, por ejemplo cuando hay un mural u otro tipo de portal cuya imagen ha cambiado, poder mandar para su revisión un nuevo nombre y foto con las pruebas adecuadas para ello, actualmente se puede solicitar editar el nombre pero para actualizar la foto es más complejo, en algunas ocasiones aceptan la introducción de la foto nueva y
