I'm not entirely sure on what that would really do though, its not like the Egyptian army that was previously in charge to guarding the border just let it happen, contrary to Israeli Media.
Its a well known fact that the smuggling occurs TENS of meters under the ground, way below any digging capabilities that could be achieved during this war, its like Israel knows that they cant stop it, but would still rather to have some sort of Intelligence over the border, what and who goes in and out of the (Surface level of the) Gaza strip after the war ends.
This will in no way shape or form stop AlQassam's logistic lines, infact, it could very much be active today and the IDF would have no idea, Simply standing over the ground is not control, This can also be applied to Israel's presence within ALL of the Gaza strip, in which they claimed control over the Northern flank of the Strip then withdrew a few months later, However, that "Control" Was never in fact true, Yes, they were present, but they did not establish full control or clearance.

๐ต๐ธโ๐ฎ๐ฑ - AlQassam publish a video targeting an IDF infantry force sheltering in the "Indonesian" Hospital in Hay-AlSultan, West of Rafah with a 'TBG' and a 'PG-7VM' HEAT projectile.
A Medivac UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter is seen at the end of the Video, confirming causalities.
Translations of the fighter's conversations will be posted soon.
What's interesting in this video is that, both the Launcher and the projectiles are clearly newly manufactured and polished, Suggesting that the supply routes are still alive, as it could be a new import, Or perhaps was locally manufactured, which still suggests that Logistical routes to the outside world are alive, as Manufacturing is still possible 10 months later.

After investigating the killing of one of the enemy prisoners by his guard, it became clear that the soldier in charge of guarding the prisoner acted in a vengeful manner, contrary to instructions, after receiving news of the martyrdom of his two children in one of the enemyโs massacres.
We will tighten the instructions after the incident was repeated in two cases so far.
We confirm that the incident does not represent our ethics and the teachings of our religion in dealing with prisoners.

In regards to the photo published by Hamas in the last few minutes, it is about a kidnapped who was murdered and his body was returned in an operation by the IDF and the Shin Bet at the end of November.
The relevant family was updated by IDF representatives.
It's kinda odd that they got his body back in November but haven't informed the family yet.
