🇺🇸❌🇺🇳 – Marco Rubio unveiled new sanctions against the ICC president, Japanese Tomoko Akane, and Senegalese Abdoulaye Sege, an ICC senior trial lawyer. Both were investigating Israel's crimes in Gaza and the West Bank.

Rubio called the ICC a "fatally politicized supranational court that has maliciously abused its authority" in a statement, which follows other U.S. sanctions on Karim Khan, an ICC prosecutor, and Trump's sanctions against the court in 2025.

Israeli media claim Seye was overseeing an investigation into the illegal distribution of weapons to Israeli settlers in the West Bank and funding for illegal settlements there.

⚡️🇺🇸🇸🇦 – The U.S. is currently evaluating a potential drawdown of forces in the Gulf states following the war with Iran, and even considering not rebuilding some attacked facilities to their pre-war status, according to Middle East Eye.

The war with Iran is being seen by the Department of Defense as a "once-in-a-generation" opportunity to reconsider its regional presence, mainly by withdrawing forces into safer bases in Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Israel.

Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait and the UAE could all see U.S. forces withdraw due to the proven threat of being in range of Iranian drones and ballistic missiles.

⚡️🇺🇸 – Another key Trump administration advisor is leaving the White House. Emily Underwood, top deputy to Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller, will leave her position according to Axios.

She was a main force behind the Trump's administration projects on nuclear energy research and development, and will be succeeded by Caleb Orr, a longtime top adviser to Marco Rubio with experience in the mineral industry.

🇮🇱❌🇸🇾 – Israel confirmed it was behind the strike on the Abu al-Duhur airbase in Idlib, Syria, according to a statement by the Prime Minister's Office.

Israel claimed Syria was "on the verge of breaching" an agreed status quo by hosting Turkish troops in the base, and says it warned Syria multiple times before the strike.

⚡️🇺🇸🇸🇾 – The IAEA found 'several tons' of nuclear material in Syria in a nuclear site in Syria, inherited from Assad's failed nuclear program.

The nuclear material, mostly harmless yellow cake, "will remain in Syrian national custody and subject to the agency's safeguards system" according to Syrian authorities.
