This morning, Lebanese citizens awoke to an escalation of aggression and a brutal massacre committed by the criminal Israeli enemy against innocent civilians in the south. The enemy targeted a house on the outskirts of the town of Ansar and a building in Deir Zahrani, resulting in the deaths of eleven martyrs, including children and women, and the injury of twelve others. This heinous crime adds to the enemy's record of massacres, crimes, and bloodshed, as well as the destruction of Lebanese homes, fields, and villages.

This Israeli escalation, targeting civilians and expanding the scope of targeted areas, reflects the desire and will of the criminal Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu to escalate the war to strengthen his domestic political standing, serve his electoral goals, and appease the far-right. This blatant aggression and violation of Lebanon's sovereignty are the responsibility of the Israeli government and the United States, which provides it with support and cover. The Lebanese authorities, on the other hand, must seek ways to stop this aggression and should not insist on continuing the path of humiliating direct negotiations and offering free gifts to the enemy, despite all the crimes and assaults it commits, and the aggressive and expansionist intentions it declares towards Lebanon.

It is time for the authorities to reassess their policies comprehensively, in a way that preserves Lebanon's sovereignty and rights, instead of continuing policies that demonstrate their inability to protect Lebanon and its people. They must adopt a national, courageous, and responsible stance, stop chasing the negotiations orchestrated by the Americans, and realize that relying on American guarantees and mediation is a futile endeavor. The United States is a partner with the Israeli enemy in its crimes and massacres against Lebanon. The recent, impudent, and extortionate statement by the American ambassador in Lebanon, in which he called for the surrender of the resistance's weapons, while he should be pressuring the Israeli enemy to withdraw from the areas it occupies, is merely confirmation that what the Americans are seeking is the benefit and security of the Israeli enemy at the expense of Lebanon's sovereignty and its people.

All Lebanese citizens, with all their components, must realize the danger of the approach adopted by this authority towards Lebanon, its unity, security, and independence. The Israeli enemy must understand that its attacks, transgressions, and attempts to impose a fait accompli cannot continue, and will be met with a response commensurate with the situation, in defense of Lebanon, its people, its sovereignty, and its national dignity.
