🇷🇺❌🇺🇦 – Ukraine was unable of downing a single Russian missile during last night's attack, with only drones and 'Banderol' loitering munitions being intercepted.

▶️ None of the Iskander-M/S-400 (ballistic), Onyx (anti-ship), or Kh-31P (anti-radar) missiles were intercepted. Ukraine also admitted to direct hits in at least 22 locations, with additional damage due to falling debris in another 6.

▶️ The main target of the attack was Odessa.

🇺🇸🤝🇯🇵 - The latest Intervention effort to save the Yen likely costs Tokyo and Washington close to $100B. The yen rebounded from the historically low level of 164 per dollar and is stabilizing at 158 per dollar.

BOJ alone spent $87B in two days, a much larger amount than the previous rounds. The US Treasury Department committed between $5B to $10B.

The intervention involved a controversial decision by the Treasury to use its Euro denominated assets instead of Dollar assets. The Euro sale raised serious alarms among the European capitals, who had not been informed in advance. The move adds to the EU's long list of grievances against the Trump administration and may increase the risk of EU going for the nuclear option to dump US assets in a future dispute.

The Dollar and the US bond market has been under severe pressure, with the 10-year yield climbing almost 80 basis points since the beginning of the war in Iran. Had Washington used the dollar instead of euro to fund the intervention, it would put further selling pressure on the bond market.

🇾🇪❌🇸🇦 – The Houthis have claimed responsibility for a strike against the ARAMCO refinery in Jazan earlier today.

▶️ Saudi outlets had already reported on a fire at the facility, but without confirming it was an attack.

🇾🇪❌🇸🇦🇹🇷🇵🇰 - It has now been roughly half a day since the Houthi strikes on Jazan, Saudi Arabia, and none of the states of the new "Mecca Alliance" have issued a statement.

▶️ It must be noted that in 2015 a different coalition was formed, named the IMCTC. It was widely referred to as the “Muslim NATO,” comprising of dozens of Muslim states, including Turkey and Pakistan.

▶️ More than a decade after the IMCTC's formation, the coalition has never demonstrated any military response to attacks against one of its members.
