⚡️🇲🇲 In Myanmar, the military garrison in Lashio has surrendered to the rebels (MNDAA)
Lashio is a city of 144,000 people, and is 200km away from the main capital of the country, it also hosts the Northeastern Regional Command, thus, marking the first instance of a regional HQ falling to rebel hands.
The rebels had sieged Lashio for some time, the garrison had put up a fight but they eventually surrendered.
While some pockets of resistance still remain, the fighting is mostly over, the siege had lasted for over a month.
