Kim said the country's capacity to produce weapons-grade nuclear material has more than doubled over the past five years and directed officials to further increase output to support long-term strategic objectives.

During the visit, he reviewed new production technologies, current output levels, and future plans, while stressing that growing security threats and what he described as a prolonged confrontation with hostile forces require a continued strengthening of North Korea’s nuclear deterrent.
