🇮🇱 - Hezbollah has published footage of previously announced operation targeting an IDF "HMMWV" mobile communications system using an FPV drone in southern Lebanon's 'Bayada' on the 9th of May. @GeoPWatch

⚡️🇱🇧🇱🇧❌🇮🇱 - Despite our lack of posts, Hezbollah in the past week has accelerated it's attacks, which mostly include daily FPV drone strikes and artillery shelling, alongside occasional ATGM & Quadcopter drone attacks, enough to be considered pre-ceasefire levels.

Just today, Hezbollah announced 26 operations carried out in southern Lebanon, 21 operations on the 11th of May, 24 on the 10th, 22 on the 9th, and 26 on the 8th.

The FPV attacks are undeniably effective and causing causalities & losses amongst the IDF's ranks. Hezbollah drone operators learning-curve is improving sharply.

This intensity status of the battlefield has been maintained with the IDF incapable of carrying out any major ground advancements or airstrikes across the country, essentially the 2024 scenario but reversed.

📈 - US inflation spikes to 3.3% year on year, a two-year high. The 0.9% spike in CPI month on month is led by a 30.7% increase in the price of fuel oil due to the war in Iran.

🇺🇸↗️ - The US Consumer Price Index (CPI) accelerates to 3.8% year on year, highest since May 2023.

The index climbed 0.6% month on month, driven by a 3.8% increase in energy price. The US energy market is still being cushioned by drawdown from the SPR and refined product inventories. Energy price is expected to increase further if the Hormuz crisis is not resolved in the coming weeks.

The inflationary pressure is broad based, with core inflation also spiking to 2.8% year on year.

The mounting inflation may derail President Trump's plan to cut the interest rates and boost the slowing US economy. The US 10-year yield climbed 50 basis points since the beginning of the War in Iran.

Washington has always supported Taiwan de facto independence and has never entertained Chinese interference in its security tie with Taiwan. However, as President Trump comes to China with a long list of demands and little to offer, Taipei has entered the menu.

With a depleted weapon stockpile from the wars in Iran and Ukraine, arm sales to Taiwan will likely be severely delayed regardless.
