The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, is following with great concern the ongoing war in the region, and reiterates its strong condemnation of the American-Zionist aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran, which violates the rules of international law and international humanitarian law, and threatens security and peace in the region and the world.

While the movement affirms that the interest of the Islamic nation and the region is to stop this war, it calls on all countries and international organizations to work to stop it immediately. The movement also appreciates all efforts made by various countries to prevent its outbreak and to prioritize the language of dialogue and diplomacy.

While the movement affirms the right of the Islamic Republic of Iran to respond to this aggression by all available means in accordance with international norms and laws, it calls on our brothers in Iran not to target neighboring countries, and calls on all countries in the region to cooperate to stop this aggression and preserve the bonds of brotherhood among them.

🇮🇷🚀🇺🇸🇮🇱 - A study by CSIS in December 2025 highlighted the shortfall in the US missile defense production. In the 12-Day War, the US expenditure of ballistic missile interceptors such as SM-3 and THAAD amounted to over a year worth of production and ~20% of their total inventories.

In the Ramadan War of 2026, Iran has launched, by most estimates, over 1000 ballistic missiles, nearly double the number of launches in the 12-Day War.

The Jask terminal (Bandar-e Jask) is situated in shallower water just east of the Hormuz and has a lower capacity of 1 million barrels per day, making it less suitable for loading large crude carriers. It is, however, vastly more defensible than Kharg island against a potential amphibious assault.

Iran currently exports 2 million barrels of crude per day.
