🇹🇬❗️— Dozens injured as protests rage on in Lome, the capital of Togo.

➡️ Following calls for protests in the country since June 26th, hundreds of protesters have barricaded several streets of the capital, burning tires and confronting security forces.

➡️ Protesters demand the fall of the Gnassingbé family government, which has been running the country for the past 58 years, first by Eyadéma Gnassingbé , who ruled from 1967 to 2005, followed by his son Faure since 2005, Faure arbitrarily modified the constitution in 2024 to set himself up to rule the country basically forever as 'President of the Council of Ministers'

➡️ The government in place has hired militias armed with batons and machetes to confront protesters without uniform and their faces covered in masks, several activists were arrested and forces to film themselves apologizing to the government.

➡️ Togo was designated by ECOWAS, along with Senegal, to attempt at reconciling AES and ECOWAS, Burkina Faso continues to entertain strong relations with the Gnassingbé government despite the violence.

➡️ Despite heavy repression, protests continue to rage in the country.

🇲🇱🇲🇱🇷🇺❌🏴 — Africa Corps, MSA militia and Malian army conduct joint operation against an IS-Sahel commander giving dawah to local population north of Menaka, Mali.

➡️ This morning, the local resisdents of the Cheman area north of Menaka were called to hear a sermon by Moroccan IS-Sahel terrorists nicknamed Abu Dahdah, however the information was leaked to the army and a joint force of MSA Tuareg militias, Africa Corps (ex-Wagner) Russian mercenaries and Malian soldiers arrived at the scene and an armed clash broke out.

➡️ Abu Dahdah and 5 others of his brothers in arms were killed in the battle, after which the joint forces retreated to Menaka city.
