🏳️❌🇧🇫 — Hundreds of soldiers feared dead as JNIM raids several military bases in Burkina Faso and the city of Djibo.

➡️ This morning JNIM militants raided simultaneously the bases in Sole and Djibo, along with multiple more around the north and east of the country.

➡️ The main battle was in Djibo, the militants had already attacked the city several times and had besieged the city for nearly 3 years, but most were probing attacks and never really overran the main base, today the main base was destroyed and looted, the leader of the assault posed in front of an Ibrahim Traore portraits with his guards.

➡️ Coincidentally, Traore was just returning from his trip to Russia, where he attended the Victory Parade and held meetings and interviews with Russian officials and local outlets.

➡️ JNIM has not released an official statement regarding the details of the attacks but hundreds of soldiers and militiamen are already feared dead and massive amounts of weaponry lost.

🇮🇱🇺🇸🇵🇸 — Yael Alexander, mother of Israeli-American prisoner Idan Alexander, on her way from the United States to the region, accompanied by US envoy Adam Boehler.

Idan Alexander is set to be released from captivity today.

The IDF has begun preparations to receive the soldier, Idan.

🏳️❌🇲🇱🇨🇳 — JNIM terrorists raided and destroyed a gold mine operated by Chinese nationals in Narena, Mali.

➡️ The militants showed up at 5AM and kidnapped 2 of the Chinese workers and killed 2 other workers.

➡️ Many vehicles were destroyed following the attack, and the terrorists likely looted some of the gold as well.

👀 JNIM has long refrained from kidnapping foreigners, leaving it to IS-Sahel as a way to not attract international attention, if these reports are true JNIM is reopening the kidnapping file, another point is that Narena is 30km away from the Guinean border, Ousmane Dicko a high ranking JNIM leader recently threatened Guinea Conakry with military action against the country.
