🏳️🤝⁉️🏳️ — Negociations ongoing between FLA and JNIM, important points:

➡️Negociations were engaged between JNIM and the FLA, on the future of Mali, as back in early 2010s a similar situation to Syria happened in Mali, secular rebels started a revolution that was then hijacked by Islamists which turned the country into a free for all and gave a short advantage to the state that helped it retake the cities with the massive support of the French-led coalition

➡️To make sure this doesn't happen again, JNIM and FLA decided to put their differences apart and march towards a shared path, JNIM convinced FLA that toppling the Bamako government was more feasible than getting a recognized Azawad state.

➡️A main disagreement was the application of Shariah, which FLA did not necessarily want but agreed with JNIM to create a system where local leaders would apply the Shariah 'as much as they wanted', and could leave it if they want.

➡️The AQ/JNIM split was also mentioned, as JNIM is trying to find a Shariah excuse to split with the movement and imitate the successes of HTS in Syria and Taliban in Afghanistan.

➡️The possibility of coordinating with the Security Council to deploy international peacekeeping forces in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, within the framework of establishing a Palestinian state and the two-state solution.

➡️As for disarming the resistance, the plan indicated that “the dilemma of the multiplicity of Palestinian factions carrying weapons can be dealt with if its causes are removed through a credible political process.”

📝Hamas has previously stated they only exist to resist the occupation until it's gone and until a Palestinian state is formed.
