➡️Negociations were engaged between JNIM and the FLA, on the future of Mali, as back in early 2010s a similar situation to Syria happened in Mali, secular rebels started a revolution that was then hijacked by Islamists which turned the country into a free for all and gave a short advantage to the state that helped it retake the cities with the massive support of the French-led coalition

➡️To make sure this doesn't happen again, JNIM and FLA decided to put their differences apart and march towards a shared path, JNIM convinced FLA that toppling the Bamako government was more feasible than getting a recognized Azawad state.

The UAE, along with the US, has been one of the most supportive ally for Puntland in the war, likely because the Bosaaso airport helps the UAE dispatch its' military aid to RSF in Sudan and generally in the rest of Africa, so Puntland remains a valuable asset for UAE and it cannot risk instability.
