➡️In Balcad, just north of the Somali capital Mogadishu, Somali special forces and other units conducted an offensive against Al-Shabaab-controlled outskirts of the capital.

➡️ At least 30 Somali are reported to be killed and several terrorists neutralized in the operations, pro-government outlets state multiple positions were taken over.

➡️ Al-Shabaab has been consolidating its forces around the capital taxing local businesses and implementing a partial siege on Mogadishu.
