โก๏ธ๐ธ๐พ๐ท๐บ - The HTS has decided to cross the "Orontes" river and advance towards Homs, cutting off all connections from the shores of SAA Controlled cities (Latakia, Tartus) rather than directly advancing towards them.
The Battle of Homs will be pivotal point of the fate of the SAA, and will most likely decide the fate of this civil war. The city of Homs is the vital crossroads of Syria [image 2 attached], capturing it will encircle the cities Latakia and Tartus, and the SAA will have nowhere else to evacuate & fight but in Damascus.
Hama fell in a matter of a day due to the inability to fortify the flanks of the city, the SAA was overwhelmed and had to retreat, their last choice is to independently defend the city of Homs, as their allies are Immersed in their own affairs.
Reminder that the city of Tartus is where the Russian Military Navy resides.

According to knowledgeable sources, the rebels managed an agreement with the notables of Salamyeh through the Agha Khan to protect the city without a fight with the rebels.
The level of sophistication and realpolitik the rebels in #Syria are showing is well understated.

Both are speeding from two directions towards Homs.
The fall of Hama is especially dangerous for the SAA as south of Hama begins reconciled rebel territory and it will certainly lead to other uprisings as seen a few days ago in Daraa and As Suwayda.
An uprising like this already occurred in the town of Talbiseh which led to an SAA convoy retreating from Hama being attacked.
