So, Dying Light: The Beast
(First Impressions)

We need more games that look and feel differently from the current UE “realism”. And DL The Beast definitely serves that itch — it feels like a game, not a tech demo, which is nice. But it goes with no Raytracing at all and the rendering feels simplified, compared to DL2 (there's nothing as cool as Central Loop here). And there are certain technical issues with VSYNC and low-latency modes. Not game-breaking, but keep that in mind.

It's also a pure fanservice product, that will help fans of Dying Light 1 and 2 to finally unite and play together. The character from the first game, a bit of vibes from Old Villedor (that was only available in one of DL2 endings), but also cars, firearms, countryside, and so on.

If you liked DL2 for RPG elements and skyscrapers, you may get disappointed. If you liked DL and DL2 for smashing zombies and running around with friends — grab The Beast too!

And Dying Light 2 even after three years still looks more advanced, but I assume that The Beast was like 10 times cheaper in production.

The city in DL2 was unimaginable (keep in mind that almost every building is accessible with interiors, zombies, inhabitants, and so on). Even skyscrapers!
