And #EA is doing it again: their mobile studio Firemonkeys is allegedly set for significant layoffs.

The studio is known for The Sims FreePlay, a mobile game that earned a lot of rewards and overall positive acceptance, but MOBILE GAMES are no longer "a future of EA".

As it was announced, in total over 6% of EA's workforce around the world will be fired in 2023. Earlier they shut down creators of Apex Legends Mobile and Battlefield Mobile, despite very impressive quality these games' earnings were lower than any expectations.

It sounds scarier than it really is and the media loves to procrastinate on such topics. But the turnover in large companies has always been high.

New EU directive in action: Steam started to show 30-day lowest price to fight sale offer scams. Not everywhere yet, but it's a good starting point.

Here's how the scam worked: companies can raise the price before the sale and apply fake discount. And it will look like a good offer even if it was even cheaper a few weeks ago.

New rules will force online stores to show 30-day lowest price, so fake discounts will no longer attract buyers.

But Steam is already limiting such price changes to 2W before any sale.
