Facebook is down, and all of its services: Instagram, Whatsapp, even Oculus. And the reason is a bit odd: NXDOMAIN, which is a Non-existing domain.
Someone took Facebook records out of DNS networks (converting domains in your browser to IP addresses of real servers) and it will take them some time to push it back up again.
Interesting fact: Amazon's peak was just before Facebook, so it might be related to AWS.
All other peaks are more like a cascade failure due to unusually high usage, which was caused by Facebook, Whatsapp, and Instagram users trying to use other networks all at once. But other social networks caught up and now their usage is mostly stable.
