Remember I recommended you We Happy Few during the whole previous week, since it was notoriously well written? Well, the studio behind it is reportedly being closed. No official confirmation yet but South of Midnight was equally creative but didn't get enough…
Arkane, Double Fine, and Ninja Theory were added to the list for closure in addition to Compulsion Games. They all apparently negotiate independence from XBOX.

They may at best be left without their IPs but with core teams on their own. Even as independent entities they will have to run through significant layoffs.

Linux improves the RISC-V and MIPS architectures support in 7.1 and the work continues.

Canonical also woke up and discussed several improvements to make RISC more friendly for big clients and grids of servers via RVA23 that supports Hypervisor and Vectors.

The request to add Russian to Fable is now the 6th most popular post on Microsoft Feedback Portal. Original Fable games were truly popular in the region (thanks to satire and freedom of choice)

Google and University of San Diego are trying to make the first major data center out of ~2000 used Pixel phones.

They are most often simply dumped without a proper recycling. And they consume a very limited amount of power thanks to ARM processors. Which may allow universities and medium-sized businesses around the world to compute on a budget.

Yeah, it's a pain. Also, most of the people do not believe that I can't recognize faces, but can obviously keep in mind that the person is blonde or tall and slender or wears certain items.

First of all, it's obvious that the volume of these games will increase. Their success will in most cases be limited though. From 80% of games making no money we will shift to 92-96% of games making no money.

Eventually players will agree to some AI. Investors will try to push for too much AI and fail. Cheap generated assets will not make it through, except maybe adult visual novels. A certain balance will be achieved in a decade or so.

Europe just refused to stop killing games. Despite several months of visible support, active group of dozens of EU parliament members support, and 1.3m signatures from EU citizens.

Instead they suggest to kinda talk to managers and slightly adjust existing consumer laws.

What the hell is this?

Stop Killing Games expected this and will continue to push more than just empty promises from the EU.

The team behind Luna Abyss was laid off from Kwalee without a warning. Hollie Emery, the CEO of Kwalee Labs announced it on her LN.

The game has been released less than a month ago and got positive reception from players and media. It sold OK-ish since there was almost no marketing (and I have never heard of it before).

>one interesting thing to note is that the single-core score is about twice that of the PlayStation 5 CPU (2334 vs 1218), indicating how the Steam Machine should fare better than Sony's current generation in CPU-intensive scenarios, although it's the GPU that will determine how Valve's system will truly compare.
