🌍 2023 was the hottest year on record.
‼️ The United Nations declared 2023 the hottest year in the history of humanity.
📣 This was announced by the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, Bloomberg reports.
💬 "The record global warming should shake world leaders and prompt them to take action. We are experiencing a climate collapse in real-time, and its impact is devastating," he noted.
⚠️ Climatologists are concerned and call for action and adaptation to climate change.
💬 "When we combine all the data together - global records of air temperature, global records of sea surface temperature, global records of sea ice - all these indicators really show us that our climate is changing at a very rapid pace," said Samantha Burgess, Deputy Director of the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S).
⁉️ WHO ELSE DOUBTS THAT THE CLIMATE IS CHANGING CATASTROPHICALLY FAST?

‼️ 🌍 Freezing rain is becoming more widespread and intense.
📊 Meteorologists note that over the past 20 years, the frequency and intensity of freezing rain have significantly increased. This phenomenon is now occurring even in regions where it was previously uncommon. Whereas before, this phenomenon occurred only once or twice throughout the entire winter, now the number of occurrences is approaching 7-12 cases. In other words, this is a multiple increase!
🔴 The main cause of this phenomenon is global climate change. The constant penetration of cyclones from the Atlantic Ocean into the continental interior in the temperate zone creates favorable conditions for the formation of freezing rain. Frequent thaws, followed by slight frosts, contribute to this process.
⚠️ 🇷🇺 Recently, another freezing rain event occurred in the Rostov region, Russia, which led to weather-related disasters. Fallen trees, severed power lines, damaged vehicles, power outages - these are just the primary consequences of this natural phenomenon.
📉 Due to freezing rain, ice, and snowfall, nearly 195,000 people in 282 settlements are left without electricity. As a result, thousands of people are currently freezing in their homes without light, heating, or hot water.
