📈 Norwegian meteorologists named the storm "Ingunn"; it hit central Norway around noon on Wednesday, January 31, 2024. The Associated Press reported wind gusts of up to 180 km/h. Additionally, BBC News reported wind speeds of 155 miles per hour (249 km/h) on the Faroe Islands—much stronger than any gust observed during the Great Storm of 1987 in the United Kingdom.
