According to the Kenyan Ministry of Interior, the number of people who have died due to floods and landslides caused by heavy rains since March has risen to 219. National authorities also stated that 164 people were injured, 72 are missing, and 206,240 people have been displaced from their homes.
⛈ The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) warned that heavy rains may intensify with the arrival of Tropical Cyclone "Hidaya." Very heavy rains and thunderstorms are expected this weekend in 33 out of 47 counties.
📣 Kenyan authorities recommended exercising caution due to possible flooding and other hazards in low-lying, coastal, and urban areas.
