On January 25, 2025, Mount Canlaon in the Philippines continues to exhibit explosive activity. According to the report from the Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC), the volcanic ash plume has reached an altitude of 3,400 meters (11,000 feet), indicating ongoing dangerous volcanic processes.
🏔Canlaon is one of the most active volcanoes in the Philippines and the most active in the Central Philippines. It forms the highest peak on the island of Negros and is located approximately 36 km southeast of the city of Bacolod, within the Canlaon National Park.
