🚛 At the time of the incident, a truck was crossing the bridge — the driver was fortunately rescued by emergency teams.

📸 Drone footage shows three empty construction vehicles trapped beneath the collapsed span. According to authorities, the vehicles belonged to nearby villagers.

🚨 No casualties have been reported so far. Traffic has been halted on the expressway, and authorities are inspecting other sections of the road for safety.

‼️On Wednesday morning, July 9, 2025, a section of the Gambhira Bridge connecting Vadodara and Anand districts in Gujarat collapsed into the Mahisagar River. At least three people were confirmed dead, and several vehicles plunged into the water with many passengers still trapped beneath or within them.

🚨 The collapse occurred during peak morning traffic around 7:30 AM, involving two trucks, two vans, and possibly more vehicles. Emergency teams, including local rescue crews and the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), swiftly responded to retrieve survivors and recover the deceased.

⚠️ Authorities suspect structural fatigue as the bridge has been in service since the mid-1980s. An official investigation has been launched, with Gujarat’s Chief Minister dispatching technical experts to determine the exact cause.
