๐ฎ๐น Intense Activity at Mount Etna's Southeast Crater
๐ On February 14, 2025, Mount Etna's southeast crater exhibited significant explosive activity. The National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) issued a red VONA (Volcano Observatory Notice for Aviation) due to the ash plume emitted by the volcano. Lava interacting with snow caused steam explosions, leading to water flows descending the valley.
