πŸ‡πŸ‡· |❄️Severe Weather Hits Europe This Week

❄️ This week, Europe faced challenging weather conditions. Cold air from the Arctic brought snow, rain, and strong winds across the continent, as forecasted by the European portal Severe Weather.

‼️ On Tuesday, the first significant deterioration in weather occurred as a strong storm moved northward through Western Europe. Heavy snowstorms hit Sweden and Finland, accompanied by blizzards and reduced visibility.

By the end of the week, weather conditions worsened in Central Europe. The Alps and northern parts of the Balkan Peninsula were affected by a powerful storm, which brought heavy snowfall. Regions of Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, and other countries were particularly impacted.

A powerful secondary cyclone formed in the northern Mediterranean, just beyond the Alps. This system brought a sharp drop in temperatures to northern Italy and then moved towards the Adriatic Sea and the Balkans.

Last night, a storm raged in Dalmatia (Croatia). Winds of up to 100 km/h caused destruction along their path, and even a windmill in Konjsko couldn't withstand the force.

Today, November 22, Friday, heavy snowstorms have hit Slovenia and Croatia, causing road blockages. Most highways are closed. The worsening road conditions and disruptions to transport services have become a significant issue for residents of these regions.
