‼️ 🇬🇷 Yesterday, on April 6, 2024, a new fire broke out in the region of Ierapetra on the island of Crete! Four injuries have been reported as a result of the fire spreading.

🔥 Residents of four villages in Crete were recommended to evacuate. Firefighters are battling a significant forest fire in mountainous terrain northeast of Ierapetra. Strong winds and fire-fueling conditions also triggered the appearance of a "fire whirl." Additionally, there are reports of two additional fires near Ammoudari and Males.
