🇬🇷|🌧 Storm "Bora" on Rhodes Island: Destruction and Traffic Ban

🌬 The storm "Bora", which swept across Greece on Saturday, claimed the lives of two men on Lemnos Island and severely impacted Rhodes on the night of November 30 to December 1. A traffic ban has been imposed on the island due to widespread damage to the road network.

🖥 "The situation on the island is devastating and deeply shocking. The people of Rhodes are reeling from what occurred on Saturday," said Giorgos Hatzimarkos, Governor of the South Aegean region, on Sunday morning.

⛔️ The traffic ban was introduced because large sections of the island's road network were completely destroyed.

‼️ Forecasts indicate that the bad weather could intensify, bringing further downpours by midday. Hatzimarkos pointed out that such intense rainfall has never been recorded in the South Aegean region before.
