🌊Storm in the Kerch Strait: Two Oil Tankers Sink

⚠️ On December 15, 2024, two Russian oil tankers, "Volgoneft-212" and "Volgoneft-239," sank in the Kerch Strait of the Black Sea due to severe storm conditions. Both vessels were carrying fuel oil.

During the incident, wave heights reached 7 points on the Beaufort scale, and wind gusts in the area were measured at 15-17 m/s. The harsh weather made it impossible for the ships to remain afloat.

Authorities are taking steps to assess the environmental damage and contain the spread of oil products in the strait's waters.
