‼️ 🇮🇩 For several consecutive days, the stratovolcano on Mount Ruang in the Sulawesi and Sangihe Islands, Indonesia, has been showing impressive activity, emitting huge clouds of ash and dust up to a height of about 20 km.

☄️Impressive photos and videos demonstrating the eruption accompanied by strong electrical activity are appearing on social media.

🔥Today, April 18, the volcano has already displayed its explosive activity twice, ejecting a plume of volcanic ash rising to approximately 50,000 feet (15,200 m), as reported by the Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) in Darwin (link).
📣 Due to the eruptions, the danger level has been raised to level IV. Evacuation has been carried out in the vicinity of the volcano, as the eruption has triggered a tsunami warning. Source (link).

‼️ 🇮🇩 The Ruang volcano on the Sangihe Islands in northern Indonesia, after more than twelve days since its last eruption, has shown another impressive burst of activity. Around 01:15 local time, a volcanic-type explosion occurred at the summit, creating a plume of gray ash. Volcanologists immediately stated that this could be a precursor to more massive eruptions.

🔥 The first column of volcanic ash reached a height of more than 19 kilometers. The eruption caused significant damage: dozens of houses on Tagulandan Island were damaged by falling hot volcanic bombs and ash. Fires were also observed on the island.

☄️ At 02:35 local time, spectacular fountains of lava began shooting into the sky. Continuous lava streams rose several hundred meters above the crater.

📣 🆘 Local authorities and emergency services recommend that residents exercise caution and follow evacuation instructions, as the eruption continues and could cause additional damage.
