‼️ 🇮🇩 The volcano Lewotobi Lakilaki (Flores, Indonesia) continues to show activity. This morning, on January 6, 2024, a pyroclastic flow was recorded.

🔽Irregular volcanic explosions over the past few days continue to create dense trails of gray ash, reaching an average height of 9,000–10,000 feet (2,700–3,000 meters). This morning, as a result of the eruption, ash emissions ranging from gray to brown were observed, drifting westward. It is likely that a partial collapse of the eruption column triggered the formation of a pyroclastic flow.

🔴 For safety reasons, it is recommended to avoid areas within a radius of approximately 3 km from the main craters.

‼️🇮🇩 On January 10, 2024, due to the activity of the Levotobi Laki-Laki volcano in Indonesia, the Center for Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation (PVMBG) raised the alert level to the highest (4 out of 4) and issued an evacuation order for people living near the volcano. Approximately 5000 individuals were forced to leave their homes due to the eruption.
