‼️🇺🇸 Strong storms swept through the central states of the USA on February 27-28, 2024, triggering a rare February tornado outbreak in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio.

ℹ️ At least 11 tornadoes were confirmed in northern Illinois, including the Chicago area. Another five tornadoes were confirmed in Ohio, with four of them hitting the Greater Columbus area. In Michigan, two tornadoes struck in Genesee and Calhoun counties. The storms were preceded by anomalously warm weather across much of the region.
