📣 Storm "Hank," warned by meteorologists on January 2, 2024, has swept across the United Kingdom, continuing a series of storms that brought record rainfall and gusty winds across Europe at the end of the previous year.

💬 Videos depicting its aftermath are surfacing on social media. Marlen Taffarello Godwin @MTravelsPR posted a distressing message a few hours ago: "disastrous day for #Whitwell, #Rutland - we are officially flooded! A606 that runs through our village is closed. Below earlier today, water has now risen further, our neighbors' windows at ground level that you can still see in this video are now totally submerged." Even the Essex County Fire and Rescue Service had to address local residents on their Twitter page: "Today we received many calls asking to retrieve cars stuck in floodwater. We do not provide evacuation services. We do not deal with car recoveries."
