🇭🇷 On Saturday, October 5, 2024, heavy rains caused flash flooding in southern Croatia, with the town of Podgora, near Makarska, being particularly hard-hit. In just one hour, the town received 140 liters of rain per square meter, leading to a sharp rise in streams, which overflowed into the streets, flooding homes and businesses.

💦 The flood damaged the town's infrastructure, leaving around three thousand homes without electricity. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, but the damage for local residents was significant.

‼️"This is crazy!" — eyewitnesses wrote, sharing footage of the severe flooding on social media.
