“La-La-Land”
It’s easy for someone to sit fat and comfortable in their easy chair and pontificate how evil war is. To criticize leaders who have access to more intelligence and who have to make the tough decisions. It’s easy to remain in La-La-Land, with a worldview far removed from reality.
But the reason these ingrates have the privilege of doing so is because of the tens of millions of people who have been slaughtered or willingly given their blood and treasure to purchase their present liberty.
We are born in debt to those who have sacrificed before us, and are therefore obligated to protect and pass along the liberty we’ve enjoyed to our posterity.
It’s the same old debate: We tend to be lazy and self-centered, and we love peace and hate war. And because of this we procrastinate, allowing evil to thrive and grow to the point where we are then forced to address it. The earlier we wake up and address evil, the more people will oppose taking action against it. The later we address evil, the more people will have to die in order to extinguish it.
A leader needs to make the tough call. By acting earlier against popular opinion more lives are potentially saved. Acting later is easier, because the evil is more obvious, so there is less popular opposition.
The choices are difficult, and the public has incomplete information. So the best we can do is to elect people we trust to represent us, and pray that God will give them wisdom.
What comforts me is the pride Trump showed in ending wars during his first term, and the tears he’s shed describing the war in Ukraine. I believe Trump hates war.
For forty years, every president has drawn the line for Iran: they may not have nuclear weapons because they have sworn to obliterate Israel and to kill Americans. And they’ve been prosecuting a war of terrorism the entire time.
When Iran began slaughtering their own citizens (over 30,000 in the last few months), Trump said to the Iranians, “Hold on, we’re coming to help.” Many have criticized him for taking so long. But Trump is a man of his word, and one does not willy-nilly attack another nation. After careful preparations and working closely with Israel he has delivered on his promise.
After forty years and many lives lost, we are finally addressing evil.
Kyrie eleison.

"Got Militia?"
The 2nd amendment does not describe your right to keep and bear arms. It describes your DUTY to be armed and proficient so that you can defend yourselves from anyone threatening your life, liberty, and property. It gives you the right to defend yourself (especially against government tyranny) by means of a well-regulated militia.
With all the various military actions taking place abroad, the threat from sleeper cells in our own country is real and imminent.
As a citizen, it is your duty to be armed and proficient and to support a local well-regulated militia capable of defending your family and community from these real threats.
Don't wait for the "government" to defend you. We the People *are* the government.
Time to tune up your militia!

“Imagine”
Imagine having elections where the public is not only invited to observe every part of the election process up-close and personal, but also to participate.
Imagine if the election vote tallies reported actually reconciled with the official state reporting.
Imagine having an election official who works to ensure transparency and accountability throughout the election process.
You don’t have to imagine… these security features exist in Shasta County, California, where Clint Curtis is the senior election official.
And it’s totally legal.
If your election officials don’t operate this way, then you have a serious issue to address: your election outcomes are centrally controlled.
And if you’re waiting for someone else to fix it, then you’ve been lulled into complacency.
Get off your keister and resume your civic duties. America is an experiment in self-government… an experiment that is failing.
Kyrie eleison.
