Here is an awesome deliverance testimony I received from Maggie (Thank you for sending it in, Maggie!):

One year ago today I crushed out my last cigarette right before beginning of deliverance prayer with Karl. I had been addicted to nicotine for the majority of the last 30 years. I had tried to quit half a dozen times using willpower, medications, nicotine replacements, prayer….. I had tried pretty much everything. Yet each time I quit for a while, there was always something that kept pulling me back…. Something that kept me obsessed with the thought of smoking and the feeling of “relief” it brought me. And just like that I would pick up a cigarette again. Last year, I had a new grandson, I turned 45, I was aging, and I was so tired of being a slave to nicotine. I reached out and made the appointment for my deliverance session. As I crushed out the last cigarette before the start of the call, I was filled with anticipation, hope, skepticism and terror. What God did through that session was nothing short of a miracle. He broke the chains that had kept me bound to the counterfeit relief of nicotine for so long.

Prior to deliverance, I hadn’t been aware that My quitting efforts had been pretty futile…. I needed to be set free through deliverance to break off chains I didn’t even know were holding me. Afterward, I knew this time was different. The Holy Spirit helped me through the next few weeks by quenching the discomforts of withdrawal so I did not suffer. I had very minimal discomfort and this was nothing like I had experienced before.

And now one year after quitting, I’m still free. Free from the chains of nicotine, praise God! God wanted to set me free and He wants to set you free too. Whether it’s an addiction to a substance, pain from a past trauma, or a relentless sin in your life, He can break the chains of bondage through deliverance. You can be free.
