LEC won the Monaco GP...lapping over EIGHT seconds per lap slower than in quali$ ๐ณ HAM was quickest, and 0.04s/lap quicker than VER, who even on fresher tyres couldn't attack RUS (77 laps on Mediums!). No pace difference P1 to P5. 14 drivers finished asโฆ

The race pace of the leader got 1.030s slower, even though the pole time IMPROVED by 1.095s.
This was in great part due to the first lap red flag, which made it possible to run the race on a single tyre set.

Additionally, the carโs downforce is expected to drop by ~30%; drag should be reduced too.
This, combined with the carโs lower average engine power, should produce worse laptimes compared to now, but should hopefully aid overtaking and make the sport more sustainable.
