LEC won the Monaco GP...lapping over EIGHT seconds per lap slower than in quali$ π³ HAM was quickest, and 0.04s/lap quicker than VER, who even on fresher tyres couldn't attack RUS (77 laps on Mediums!). No pace difference P1 to P5. 14 drivers finished asβ¦
Race pace in 2023 (before it started to rain) as a reference:
The race pace of the leader got 1.030s slower, even though the pole time IMPROVED by 1.095s.
This was in great part due to the first lap red flag, which made it possible to run the race on a single tyre set.
