Yockey was supportive of the various Third World authoritarian regimes emerging to challenge American world hegemony and Zionism. In July and August 1953 the FBI was reporting that Yockey had turned up in Cairo, writing anti-Zionist propaganda for the Egyptian Government of Nasser.

Yockey entered immortality as the premier philosopher of Western Destiny, the first martyr for the European Imperium of the coming Century. His works will remain a lasting legacy, the foundation upon which a revived Pan-Europa will be constructed, if there indeed is to be a future for Europe, and hence the world, or a new Dark Age of chaos.

In this volume we are proud to be able to resurrect from oblivion works, including original typewritten Yockey MSS, which have lain buried for decades, some possibly published here for the first time, providing the Western Destiny Thinker and activist with new insights into Yockey's Idea - the Idea of Imperium Europa.

Nazis in Cairo

Middle East Arab countries, particularly Egypt, was the haven of National Socialists after World War II as these countries rejected extradition claims in every single instance. Most of these old National Socialists found profitable employment in Nasser's anti-Jewish propaganda agencies or in one or other of the military or paramilitary organisations.
The spearhead of Arab anti-Jewish propaganda was the Institute for the Study of Zionism established in Cairo in 1955 for the purpose of leading the "struggle against Zionism and international Jewry". The Institute was heavily staffed by German National Socialists. Among the many publications of the Institute is an Arabic version of the Protocols of the Elders of Zion and Hitler's Mein Kampf, translated into Arabic by Louis Heiden, copies of which were found in the knapsacks of Egyptian soldiers during the 1956 Sinai Campaign. The Institute maintained regular contact with a number of neo-Nazi organisations in Germany and in other countries.

To understand the problem of the Islamists, we must consider that already in the past it emerged with a certain clarity that the one who pushed fundamentalism from the very beginning has always been Israel. If we think of the Arab world of the 1950s and 1960s we see that all the countries were anti-Zionist and were governed by political formations of Nasserists, or Ba'athists, or Social Nationalists who had the characteristic of strong respect for Christian communities. Many of them were Christian and had a strong opposition to any type of Islamism. We remember the very harsh repression by Assad senior.

Jean Thiriart in Cairo and Bagdad (1969)

A leader of the new fascist “Europeans”, the Belgian Jean Thiriart, recently toured the Middle East for the purpose of “coordinating Arab political information in Europe and the struggle against the gigantic lobby of the pro-Zionist press in Europe”. He was invited by the Governments of Egypt and Iraq. In Cairo he attended the congress of the Arab Socialist Union, and in Bagdad he appeared on TV; he also gave an exclusive interview to the press and radio of Lebanon.
According to a report in his monthly magazine La Nation Européenne, November 1968, Thiriart believes that the Arabs’ “foremost effort must be to organise their information in Europe”. He urged his Arab friends to distinguish between the “legal Europe” and the “real Europe — the Europe of the peoples”.
He deems it “desirable to organise military formations of European volunteers for the purpose of aiding and participating in the struggle of the Palestinian resistance”.

The NPD was formed on November 28, 1964, by leading members of the disbanded Deutsche Reichspartei and several smaller patriotic groups. At that time the NPD was led by Adolf von Thadden, while other active members included the noted revisionist historian Udo Walendy, ex-Wehrmacht General Artur Wilhelm Schmitt, and rocket pioneer Dr. Hermann Oberth. Among those offering their early support and assistance was Britain’s Fascist leader Sir Oswald Mosley. In a letter of December 16, 1964, to leading NPD member Wolfgang Frenz, Mosley wrote enthusiastically of his hopes for the new party, stressing that it is “of the greatest importance ... to support the formation of a nationalist party for Europe.”

In September 1996 the NPD’s youth organization sponsored a European Youth Congress attended by 400 German nationalists and representatives of racial nationalist organizations from across Europe and North America, with the National Alliance representing the United States.
