Nationalpopulism, Right and Left: The Social-National Synthesis Today
by Daniel Rueda

For most of the postwar period the idea of merging socialist (or popular) and nationalist elements was marginal in Europe. But in the last two decades we have been witnessing a new form of social-national synthesis: nationalpopulism. This article examines this resurgence by comparing right-wing nationalpopulism and left-wing nationalpopulism. In order to do so, it focuses on four European countries: France, Italy, Greece and Spain. While there are both policy and discursive similarities between these two forms of nationalpopulism, this article argues that they are fundamentally different and belong to antagonistic ideological factions.

β€œWe are not interested in seizing power nor in educating the masses. What counts for us is our ethic, to kill Enemies and to annihilate traitors. The will to fight keeps us going from day to day, the thirst for revenge is our food. We shall not stop! We are not afraid to die nor to end our days in jail; our only fear is not to be able to clean up everything and everybody, but rest assured, with teeth and nails we’ll be able to go on”

In Memoriam Philippine Le Noir de Carlan πŸ•ŠοΈ

19-year-old French girl, raped and murdered by a man under OQTF already known to the justice system. The inaction of the public authorities must stop. Popular self-defense becomes necessary.

Action in tribute to Philippine

Activists from @Furie_Francaise unfurled a banner to denounce the murder of Philippine, 19, by a migrant under OQTF and already convicted of rape in 2019.

Once again, the cowardice of the State and the laxity of justice have cost the life of a young French woman.

In memory of Philippine, Lola, Thomas, Matisse and all the others, to save our children, REMIGRATION

Europeans need to defend their homeland on their own

Global Fascism? The British National Front and the Transnational Politics of the β€˜Third Way’ in the 1980s
by Benjamin Bland

In the early 1980s, British fascism was reeling from the failure of the National Front (NF) to build on the brief swells of support it attracted in the 1970s through its crude ethnic populism. A group of young radicals gained control of the party and pushed it in a new direction. As the decade wore on these radicals embraced ideas that would have confused or even horrified their predecessors, promoting a global β€œThird Way” vision that borrowed heavily first from esoteric continental influences and then from radical Islamic ideologues like Louis Farrakhan and Muammar Gaddafi. This article explains how this unusual variant of neofascism emerged in the political context of the 1980s and interrogates its transnational credentials in order to understand the extent and sincerity of this reinvention, so as to find the Third Way NF an appropriate place in the history of contemporary fascism(s).

β€œThe only difference was their cultural-ideological premisses. Whereas the leftists’ reference point continued to be the neo-Marxist critique of society, the right-wingers adopted Julius Evola’s ideas of the political soldier and the rejection of the modern world. On both left and right, violence became a standard political resource”

"The Fascist State expresses the will to exercise power and to command. Here the Roman tradition is embodied in a conception of strength. Imperial power, as understood by the Fascist doctrine, is not only territorial, or military, or commercial; it is also spiritual and ethical. An imperial nation, that is to say a nation which directly or indirectly is a leader of others, can exist without the need to conquer a single square mile of territory."

We could say that art "remains", while everything else disappears. There is a history that also remains, but the real, the tangible, the palpable that survives time, is art, and its importance is fundamental, basic and decisive in a European socialist revolution.
