📅 On July 28-29, FM Sergey Lavrov attended the meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs in Tashkent.

🇷🇺🇺🇸📞 29 июля по инициативе американской стороны состоялся телефонный разговор С.В.Лаврова с Госсекретарем США Э.Блинкеном.
Главы внешнеполитических ведомств обсудили текущую ситуацию на Украине. Министр изложил российские принципиальные подходы в свете проводимой СВО на территории ДНР, ЛНР и Украины, подчеркнув, что её цели и задачи будут полностью выполнены.
В данном контексте внимание Госсекретаря было обращено на то, что продолжающаяся накачка ВСУ и нацбатальонов американским и натовским оружием, которое масштабно применяется против мирного населения, лишь продлевает агонию режима в Киеве. С.В.Лавров подчеркнул, что ВС России строго соблюдают нормы международного права.
Проведён обмен мнениями по проблематике двусторонних отношений, остро нуждающихся в нормализации. Касательно возможного обмена заключенных граждан России и США с российской стороны настоятельно предложено вернуться в режим профессионального, без спекулятивных информационных вбросов, диалога в режиме «тихой дипломатии».

💬 The striving of the African nations to decide their own destinies and find ways of settling persisting conflicts are part of the formation of this multipolar, democratic world order (following talks with Foreign Minister of Ethiopia Demeke Mekonnen).
💬 I'm sure that the overwhelming majority of the world countries do not want to live as if the colonial times came back. Except two or three developing countries, no one else in Africa, Asia or Latin America joined the illegal American and European sanctions (during a meeting with permanent representatives of the member countries of the African Union).

The ministers discussed current developments in Ukraine.
❗FM Lavrov drew the Secretary of State’s attention to the fact that the continued arming of the armed forces of Ukraine and nationalist battalions with US and NATO weapons is only prolonging the agony of the Kiev regime by dragging out the conflict and increasing the number of victims. Sergey Lavrov stressed that the armed forces of Russia strictly observe the norms of international law and that Russia has engaged in consistent efforts to restore peaceful life on the territories that it is liberating.
They also exchanged views on the problems besetting bilateral relations. As for the potential prisoner swap between the countries, Sergey Lavrov strongly advised a return to professional dialogue in the context of “quiet diplomacy” without any dubious media leaks.

For 326 years the Navy safeguarded our nation's interests and borders. It has come a long way – from wooden two-masted flat-bottomed boats of Peter the Great’s era, to formidable nuclear underwater missile cruisers.
📃 The true foundation of the Russian naval traditions was laid on October 30, 1696 when the Boyar Duma, upon the request of Peter the Great, approved his decree on the construction of a navy.
“The Russian Navy shall set sail.”

🌊 This year St Petersburg per tradition hosts the Main Naval Parade in honour of the Day. 40+ warships and submarines will take part in it. The pride of our fleet can be seen in the Neva River in the centre of St Petersburg, and at Kronstadt – where big surface vessels, which cannot enter the Neva River due to their size, can be viewed.

☝️ Мы открыто обозначили границы и зоны национальных интересов России – и экономических, и жизненно важных, стратегических. Кронштадт - знаменитый Город воинской славы. Его часто называют «щитом Северной столицы» — знаменитые форты и бастионы всегда стояли на страже Санкт-Петербурга.
В конце1703 г., когда на отмели к югу от острова Котлин была построена деревянная крепость - Кроншлот.
6-го октября 1723 года крепость на острове Котлин получила своё официальное имя — Кронштадт (от немецкого Krone — «корона» и Stadt — «город»).
⚓️ Вокруг Кронштадта на искусственных островах расположены морские и береговые форты — 22 долговременных оборонительных сооружения.
Сегодня Кронштадт приковывает внимание новым масштабным проектом: ведутся работы по созданию крупнейшего в России музейно-исторического парка, посвящённого военно-морскому флоту, — «Острова фортов». Главный объект парка — Аллея героев российского флота, которая рассказывает о более чем трех веках истории Военно-Морского Флота, и Маяк памяти с 200 именами героев-моряков, с эпохи Петра I и до наших дней.

➖Now Western countries are increasingly moving away from the Helsinki Decalogue approved in 1975 and are imposing confrontation in international affairs. They launched an unprecedented pressure campaign against Russia
➖Despite this, the OSCE retains great potential for establishing multilateral cooperation. We strongly urge Western countries not to undermine it, but to use it for the benefit of international peace and stability in the Euro-Atlantic and Eurasia

🎙 Commentary of the Russian delegation with regard to the statement by the US Secretary of State, Mr.A.Blinken, at the 10th NPT Review Conference
💬 In his statement at the 10th Review Conference of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), US Secretary of State A.Blinken accused Russian forces of using the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant as a military base.
We strongly reject such allegations. We repeatedly stated that actions of our Armed Forces in no way undermine Ukraine’s nuclear security or impede routine operation of the NPP.
Zaporozhye NPP which is located in the zone of the Russian special military operation was taken under guard with the sole purpose – prevent Ukrainian nationalist formations and foreign mercenaries from making use of the current situation in Ukraine in order to carry out a nuclear provocation.

We strongly reject such allegations. We repeatedly stated that actions of our Armed Forces in no way undermine Ukraine’s nuclear security or impede routine operation of the NPP.
Zaporozhye NPP which is located in the zone of the Russian special military operation was taken under guard with the sole purpose – prevent Ukrainian nationalist formations and foreign mercenaries from making use of the current situation in Ukraine in order to carry out a nuclear provocation.
