💬 Anatoly Antonov: Another PR exercise of the Kiev regime on the platform of the OAS is in line with the efforts of the White House to undermine the cooperation between Latin America and our country. Such destructive aspirations are doomed to fail. It is enough to look at the intensity of visits of high-ranking Russian delegations to the region.
By emphasizing the issue of the European security crisis, which is not among the usual topics for the Organization, Washington, like a thimble-rigger, diverts attention from the pressing problems of the Western Hemisphere. Especially from the challenges that are inconvenient for the Administration, which the Latin American states are waiting for the United States to solve as its “homework”. This, for example, concerns the illegal trafficking of arms from the U.S. or increasing the effectiveness of countering transnational drug crime.
We see, in general, how under the "careful guidance" of the United States, the crisis in the OAS is deepening. The ranks of the Organization are thinning. The remaining members are reluctant to contribute to the activities of this structure. This is not surprising, when Washington assigns the OAS the role of "rubber-stamping" the decisions it needs and presents them as a regional consensus. In particular, fabricates the speculations about the alleged collective condemnation of Russia in this part of the world.

🎖 Учащиеся школы при Посольстве прочитали стихотворения о тяготах военных лет и бессмертном подвиге советских солдат.
🖼 На мероприятии была развернута выставка об основных вехах Великой Отечественной войны с особым акцентом на 80-летие победы в Сталинградской и Курской битвах.

🕯 Embassy of Russia in the USA has traditionally joined Candle of Memory, the memorial event dedicated to the Remembrance and Sorrow Day.
🕓 At 4 am sharp, Moscow time - in those dramatic moments when the Great Patriotic War began 82 years ago - Russian diplomatic mission’s staff and their families lit candles to honor the memory of 27 million Soviet citizens who gave their lives for the Great Victory.
🎖 Pupils of the Embassy’s school read poems about the hardships of the war years and the immortal feat of Soviet soldiers.
🖼 The event featured an exhibition on the key milestones of the Great Patriotic War with a special focus on the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Battles of Stalingrad and Kursk.

🕯 22 июня в России отмечается День памяти и скорби.
#ВЭтотДень 82 года назад в 4 часа утра после продолжительной артиллерийской подготовки нацистская Германия без объявления войны вероломно напала на Советский Союз, атаковав его границы на всём протяжении от Баренцева до Чёрного морей.
Так открылась одна из самых трагических страниц истории нашей страны – началась Великая Отечественная война.
Вместе с Германией против СССР единым фронтом выступили Румыния, Италия, к которым через несколько дней присоединились Словакия, Финляндия и Венгрия. При этом, на стороне агрессоров были промышленный потенциал и мощности почти всей континентальной Европы.
Самая кровопролитная война в истории, длившаяся для СССР 1418 дней и ночей, завершилась Победой Советского Союза и союзников, полным разгромом стран фашистского блока.
❗️ Потери СССР составили 40% всех людских потерь во Второй мировой войне - 26,6 миллиона человек. Из них более 8,7 миллиона погибли на полях сражений, 7,42 миллиона человек были преднамеренно истреблены нацистами на оккупированных территориях, более 4,1 миллиона умерли от жестоких условий оккупационного режима. 5,27 миллиона человек были угнаны на каторжные работы в Германию и сопредельные с ней страны, пребывавшие также под немецкой оккупацией.
#МыПомним, как, пережив войну, народы мира, несмотря на известные разногласия, были объединены стремлением предотвратить новый чудовищный конфликт в будущем, не допустить ошибок прошлого.
К сожалению, время показало живучесть нацистской идеологии. Для чудовищных геополитических экспериментов, направленных на сдерживание России, вновь используют нацистскую идеологию. Сегодня их знамя несут нашедшие после войны убежище на Западе коллаборационисты, нацистские преступники и их молодые последователи.
🕯 С 2009 года в этот день ежегодно проводится мемориальная акция "Свеча памяти". Каждый из нас может почтить погибших минутой молчания, зажечь свечу, возложить цветы к воинскому захоронению или монументу Великой Отечественной войны.

82 years ago, at 4 am, Nazi Germany perfidiously attacked the Soviet Union after a lengthy artillery barrage and without a declaration of war. Nazi forces launched attacks along the entire length of the Soviet border, from the Barents to the Black Sea.
This is how the Great Patriotic War began, opening one of the most tragic chapters in the history of our country.
Romania and Italy sided with Germany. Slovakia, Finland and Hungary joined them in several days later. The aggressors controlled the industrial potential and other resources of virtually all the continental European countries.
The bloodiest war in history lasted 1,418 days and nights and culminated in the Victory of the Soviet Union and its allies, and it entailed the complete defeat of Axis countries.
❗️ The Soviet Union accounted for 40 percent of wartime losses. Its casualties totalled 26.6 million war dead, including over 8.7 million killed in action. The Nazis deliberately exterminated 7.42 million people on the occupied territories.
#WeRemember how, after living through the war and despite certain disagreements, the nations of the world were united by a striving to prevent another monstrous conflict in the future and to avoid the mistakes of the past.
Unfortunately, Nazi ideology has proved resilient over the decades. They are using Nazi ideology once again for monstrous geopolitical experiments aimed at containing Russia. Collaborators who found refuge in the West after the war, Nazi criminals and their young followers are brandishing the banner of these ideas today.

🕯 В 82-ю годовщину начала Великой Отечественной войны Президент России В.В.Путин почтил память погибших в боях против немецко-фашистских захватчиков, возложив венок к Могиле Неизвестного Солдата у Кремлёвской стены.
Мероприятие завершилось торжественным маршем роты почётного караула и оркестра перед общенациональным мемориалом воинской славы.
Глава государства также возложил цветы к обелискам городов-героев и к памятному знаку в честь городов, удостоенных почётного звания «Город воинской славы».
