Casimir is a blockchain agnostic framework designed to operate with any layer-1 blockchain infrastructure. It represents a low-code constructor of the DEIP ecosystem intended for designing portals by users. Casimir acts as a middle layer between the blockchain and frontend applications with the primary purpose of building portals. It is made from a modular structure and enables a quick building of standalone applications and connecting them to the server-side of DEIP.

Casimir provides essential functionalities (registrations, asset tokenization etc.) for web applications and all needed entity types (platform, data transfer models, data service packages, functional modules).
The key principles of Casimir are:
Code composition
Data composition
Entity composition
Abstraction

Casimir's key piecesβmodules, services, modelsβare implemented as individual Node.js packages with external dependencies. So, as with a constructor, you first take pieces to build details and then build functional blocks from themβ creating a portal fast, with little to no coding expertise.

Instead of the static data model, Casimir offers you the flexibility of dynamic data structures. An entity, such as a project, user, or user group has a minimal set of default characteristics expressed as its parameters.
You can add any characteristics on top of that to create custom entities suited to your business goals. π§Ά
And you always have easy access to all your data structures from the admin panel in your portal. π₯

Casimir allows you to aggregate multiple entities into composite ones, which is useful when creating custom scenarios. Normally, only a project entity can raise funds, so a specific example may be a fundraising project where a team needs to raise funds. They can create a composite entity, based on a team entity, where a project would only serve as a gateway to add the functionality of distributing project tokens and raising funds.

The Casimir frontend is built on top of the Vue.js framework, and it is represented as a set of modules that can be combined and rendered in a specific application according to the customization preferences.
A single module can be described as a piece of functionalities attached to a userβs application primarily oriented to DAO, fungible and nonfungible tokens, crowdfunding, investments, contract agreements, auctions, etc.
The repository of modules consists of Javascript packages that can be exploited for all building actions, and they are implemented using the Vuetify components library and Vue framework.
For managing numerous package versions, Lerna Repository is used.

The purpose of the backend side of the Casimir is to be assigned in building models and reading appropriate indexes. For this part of the framework, besides the Node JS server as a foundation, MongoDB is used for reading databases.
Further, the ElasticSearch engine is exploited for generating reading requests and conducting index tasks more efficiently.
Finally, the WebSocket communication protocol provides all needed communication channels.

It is important to mention that Casimir built with the Apache Kafka streaming platform to subscribe to events in a blockchain and notify a server when building or reading model operations should be performed.
For deployment purposes, a configuration for Kubernetes clusters is built, where each DEIP portal operates as a set of ports in the cluster.
Each portal has its cluster independent from other clusters and has its database and a server. The established approach enables users to deploy the portal in an easy and user-friendly low-coding manner.

The DEIP upchain is built on top of the Substrate framework, enabling the application of all default tools on every Substrate chain. To work efficiently with the upchain, the Deip dashboard can be used for all needed functionalities (explorer, transaction builder) and operations (queries, transactions). As one of the contributions to the already adopted operational capabilities of the platform, DEIP proposed a new contract agreement where a user is provided with a timestamping feature that generates a hash specification and represents a digital proof of a signed document.
π19π6π₯3β€1
All functionalities are integrated within the Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) concept, representing the main pillar of most Web3.0 governance models. β¨
The DAO approach is the central component of DEIP also, and it is the foundation for communication, cooperation and transactions between DEIP users.

From a governance perspective, Casimir currently supports the governance model based on members' weights and pre-defined thresholds as extensions over multi-signature keys used in blockchain layer-1 solutions (Ethereum, NEAR). At the moment, every member within the model has a universal weight coefficient representing a voting power equal to one.
For example, suppose a DAO consists of three members. In that case, each of them will have identical voting power, the decision threshold will be two, and it will be required to collect signatures from at least two members to make a decision on behalf of the DAO.

In the future, Casimir will support governance models based on the sizes of staked tokens to DAO, where the staked amount of each member will determine the DAO condition for delegating voting power to each member.
A member's voting power will be proportional to the ratio of his staked amount compared to the summed stake amount to the DAO.
For example, If a member staked ten tokens, and the overall staked amount to the DAO is 100 tokens, the member will have 10% of all votes in DAO regardless of how many more members there are.

Casimir defines DAOs, provides a specific interface and methods for adding or removing members of DAO, and specifies all required entities (identifier, name, etc.). Every DAO has its basic setup that includes creating a new address with a related wallet, a new account and a public key.
Every participant in a portal has a unique wallet, from users interested in buying intangible assets to creators and members of the DAO communities. To execute a transaction that includes a transfer from (or transfer to) a DAO balance, the operations must always be performed on behalf of the DAO. These transactions can be consequences of buying or selling NFTs, and in each case, every transaction is conditioned on collecting the required quorum (majority of DAO votes) and reaching the specified voting threshold.
All the transactions can be completed using the portal or any independent explorer comfortable for users.
