🏔Team Building in the Mountains

Our Tashkent team took advantage of a day-off and went to the mountains in full force. In addition to hiking, the guys also played mafia, though did not take pictures, as the battle was so exciting!

✈️🌍 Our engineers are keen on traveling!

Today we will share with you the journey of our Software engineer Mikhail Goncharov. He went on a family trip to Europe 👍

💬 - "First, we had a layover in Yerevan, where we spent a day. Then we flew to Venice and were amazed by the beauty of the buildings, the gondolas, and the delicious pizza 🍕

After that, we visited Lake Como; the view was amazing, with the mountains as a backdrop. There were also some difficulties, such as walking on the road due to the lack of pavements, and narrowly passing cars on the serpentine.

🛍 In Milan, we did some shopping and then headed to Helsinki, where we enjoyed seafood, visited the city's central public library, and took a boat ride past many different islands.

😍 It was a wonderful trip with many beautiful places and unexpected encounters!"
- shared Mikhail.

❄️ Our Department Manager Antonio Neto shares photos from his winter weekend!

📍 He visited Viseu and Guarda cities, but the main spot was the Serra da Estrela mountain range.

💬“It was an interesting and surprising weekend! Serra da Estrela — the highest mountain in mainland Portugal with 1,993 m altitude, so it's a unique place for Portuguese to seek snow (only some days per year unfortunately)” — says Antonio.

Our Lead Software Engineer Aziz Karabashov returned from a two-week trip to Turkey with his family, visiting three cities.

🕌 The first was Istanbul, which impressed Aziz with its history and culture. He visited the Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, and Topkapi Palace, noting the harmony of Eastern and Western cultures, picturesque streets, and views of the Bosphorus.

🌋 Next, they went to Göreme, known for its unique volcanic rock formations. The landscapes and hot air balloons at sunrise left a special impression.

🏖 The final stop was Antalya, where the family stayed at a hotel in Kemer. The clean beaches and sea were perfect for a relaxing vacation.

"I am very satisfied with the trip. I recommend visiting the Princes' Islands in Istanbul, where you can rent a bicycle and enjoy scenic views away from the city's hustle and bustle.

I must also mention the food: kebabs, lahmacun, and stuffed mussels – Turkish cuisine is very tasty and diverse."

📸 The trip to Turkey became a source of inspiration for Aziz. Which countries did you visit this summer?

🏝 Our PR manager, Samrin Sanchez, went on a one-day tour to Sukok this weekend.

🍀 Sukok is a small village in the Parkent district of the Tashkent region, known for its picturesque nature reserve. Here, one can enjoy dense forests and magnificent mountain landscapes.

☺️ The tour program included a walk through the forest and a visit to a cave.

🏝 Our Project Manager, Konstantin Pak, spent almost two weeks with his family on the beautiful island of Phuket!

🎡 During their stay, they explored Old Phuket Town, visited the ancient Wat Chalong temple, and went to Elephant and Tiger Rescue Parks. They also visited the Magic Carnival Park, wandered through Phuket's vibrant night markets, relaxed on stunning beaches, and dined at local restaurants.

“The people here are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and easy-going. The local philosophy — 'sabai sabai,' meaning ' take it easy, don’t worry' — perfectly reflects the Thai spirit. The cuisine is diverse, but we especially enjoyed Thai dishes with fresh seafood and exotic local fruits.”

For anyone who hasn’t been to Southeast Asia, Konstantin highly recommends visiting one of these amazing countries to try tropical fruits, incredible food, and simply enjoy the natural beauty and views!

🌎 Our PR manager, Samrin Sanchez, started the new year with an inspiring journey through Bolivia.

🚠 In La Paz, she immersed herself in the atmosphere of the historic city: strolling through the famous "The Witches Market (Mercado de las Brujas)", admiring the architecture, and enjoying breathtaking views of the city from the cable car.

🚂 Her next destination was the legendary Train Cemetery near Uyuni. Among the abandoned locomotives frozen in the desert, she experienced a sense of time travel. This fascinating location tells the story of a bygone era and leaves an indelible impression.

🔸 The highlight of the trip was visiting Salar de Uyuni — the vast salt flats where the boundaries between earth and sky seem to vanish. During the dry season, the flats captivate with their sheer scale, while in the rainy season, they transform into a giant mirror reflecting the heavens.

"Standing in the middle of this plain, I felt as if I were in another world. The mirrored reflection of the sky was so perfect that the boundaries between earth and sky seemed to disappear. It’s one of the most unforgettable places I’ve ever seen," shared Samrin.

We continue sharing travel stories from our team.

This time — a Mediterranean cruise by Julia Radkevich, DSR Lead QA Engineer.

She visited several countries in one trip and found this format ideal:

💬 “Every day brought a new city, new streets to wander, and stunning sunsets at sea. If you haven’t tried a cruise yet, it’s worth it.”

Our colleague Mikhail Zheltyakov spent 9 days in the UAE and managed to experience all the most exciting highlights.

🌇 In Abu Dhabi, he visited the Louvre, took a tour of the Formula 1 track, and tested his skills in karting nearby.

🌃 In Dubai, every day was filled with adventure: a desert safari gave him a sense of freedom, while walks along Dubai Marina immersed him in the rhythm of a big city. At the Atlantis Aquaventure water park, he tried out extreme slides, and later strolled through the markets of the Old Town, where the air was filled with the scent of spices and the East.

The trip concluded with a climb to the top of the Burj Khalifa — at 828 meters, the view is truly breathtaking!

“What impressed me the most were the Yas Marina Circuit and the desert safari. On the track, it’s all about speed and roaring engines, while in the desert, it’s silence and endless sand dunes. Completely different, but equally amazing experiences!” — shares Mikhail.

🏠 Next, they explored Busan, where they enjoyed the calm vibe of the colorful Gamcheon Village and the beautiful beaches.

🛕 Finally, they visited Gyeongju and felt the peaceful energy of the Buddhist temples.

Let’s dive into the photos and feel the atmosphere!

🌎 Our colleague Aziz Mukhtorjonov spent a few days in Jordan and brought back not only photos of the desert but also a couple of unexpected stories.

🏜 He started in Wadi Musa — a town at the entrance to Petra. They began with Little Petra, then made the long climb to the Monastery, and finally reached the legendary Treasury.

"As we were approaching the Treasury, a sandstorm and rain began. They say that only happens once every few years. The weather was surprising overall — despite being in the desert, it was only 10–15°C."

🌊 After that came the Dead Sea. It turns out it really is impossible to sink there. Lying on the water is easy, but submerging yourself is almost impossible. The water is so salty that even a single drop on your lips feels like a mouthful of table salt.

"There’s hardly any greenery — just rocks and valleys that look like scenes from old westerns. Overall, the vacation was eventful: a bit of adventure, a touch of wild nature, and lots of impressions.''
