๐ฌ๐งโ ๐จ๐ณ RAF veterans training the Chinese military will face prosecution for sharing tactics with a foreign power, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) has said.
Former service personnel who train the militaries of UK competitors will be โpursued and brought to justiceโ, Grant Shapps, the Defence Secretary, said.
Last October, the MoD issued a rare security alert after it emerged that a number of former RAF, Royal Navy and Army pilots had been training the Chinese Peopleโs Liberation Army Air Force.
The pilots were contracted through a South African company after being offered salaries of around ยฃ250,000. It was reported that about 30 had moved to China to provide the training.
The revelation prompted fears that former British pilots were helping the Chinese to understand Western tactics, potentially equipping the Peopleโs Liberation Army with knowledge about shooting down the planes of Britain and its allies.

๐บ๐ธ The US have "forgot" how to build Icebreakers - Wall Street Journal
U.S. authorities are in a race to acquire new polar icebreakers due to the aging status of the Coast Guard's current fleet. Currently, the Coast Guard operates only two icebreakers, and one of them is nearing the end of its operational life. Additionally, the icebreaker assigned to the Arctic undergoes maintenance every winter, rendering it temporarily out of service.
The delivery timeline for the first of these new icebreakers has been delayed, shifting from the originally planned 2024 to 2028. This delay is primarily attributed to the complex challenge faced by designers, engineers, and welders, who are tasked with a task the United States hasn't tackled in decades: shaping hardened steel, over an inch thick, into the curved and reinforced hull of a ship.
๐ป You know who knows how to build those ships? Even nuclear powered ones? Russia does...
