🇮🇱🇸🇾 Massive Israeli Air Force Strikes on Syrian Territory
Overnight, the Israel Defense Forces carried out one of the largest attacks on Syrian territory in recent times. The Israelis struck targets in several provinces in the northwest, east, and south of the country.
▪️Explosions were heard in Deir ez-Zor, where a bridge and weapon storage facilities near the local airfield were hit. Further south, strikes targeted former SAA objects near Al-Mayadin and Al-Bukamal, including the Iranian military base named after Imam Ali.
▪️The largest strike was on targets in Tartus province, where Israeli planes struck the remaining Syrian air defense positions, weapons and fuel storage facilities.
▪️In Latakia, explosions were heard in the vicinity of Jableh and hits were recorded on air defense objects in Zamah. Several hits were also recorded on former SAA objects near Ash-Shata'i east of Homs and targets in the Hama area. Since the overthrow of Bashar al-Assad, the Israelis have carried out about 500 raids on targets in Syria.
📌 Simultaneously, the Israeli forces are conducting ground operations to create a buffer zone east of the occupied Golan Heights, occupying positions of the Syrian army and carrying out demolitions.

he current encirclement of AFU positions in the Kurakhove area is 10km from closing with the only road under Russian fire control.
The next salient to take shape will bring the Russians to the border of Dnepropetrovsk, However there is no where near the defenses nor the civilian infrastructure for the Ukrainians to defend from.

🇳🇪🇲🇱🇧🇫 West Africa bloc offers junta-led states six months to rethink exit
Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger will have a six-month grace period after their scheduled exit from West Africa's main political and economic group next month during which the ECOWAS bloc will try to persuade them to stay.
The summit of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) was seen as a chance to address the impending withdrawal of the three countries on Jan. 29, a year after they jointly announced they would leave in a reversal of decades of regional integration.
ECOWAS has so far failed in its goal to push them to reconsider, while the three countries in the insurgency-torn central Sahel region have set up their own alliance, sought ever-closer alignment in defence and other areas and mooted abandoning the West African currency union.
While Jan. 29 remains the official withdrawal date, the effective date for their departure has been extended to July 29 - a transition period during which mediators from the bloc will seek "to bring the three member countries back to ECOWAS without prejudice," commission president Oumar Touray said at the end of the summit.

🇺🇦Ukraine claims to have its own laser weapon - "Trizub" ("Trident")
"We can state that today Ukraine is, if I am not mistaken, the fifth country that can say that it has a laser. Today, we can already shoot down planes at an altitude of more than 2 km with this laser. It really works, it really exists," said Vadim Sukharevsky, commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces.
According to him, work is currently underway to scale up and strengthen this weapon.
